Let me give you a warm welcome to my blog with a debut post that talks about anything but warm. For the last couple of days, NYC has been gearing up for Nemo -which, in contrary to the cute little harmless flounder I usually associate with that name, left the city covered in slushy puddles. Of all the time it could have arrived, it came on Fashion Week. Of course.
My boyfriend and I dropped by Lincoln Center.
We visited the Accessories Collections of Mainsai by Michael Saiger (thanks Guest of a Guest!). Mainsai’s collection is all about the rough and edgy side of an innocent soul who wanted to make a statement in a subtle yet clearly heard way. I love the marriage of the direct simplicity in its design and subdued sophistication in its details. My personal favorite is the wrap around bracelet that ties together in a hook! One piece would certainly stand out among the layers of different bracelets in a stylishly overwhelmed forearm.
And somehow, as it usually happens, my boyfriend convinced me to take a pleasurable walk in Central Park…
We also met the loveliest and most fashionable creatures on earth!
At the end of the day, one can enjoy Fashion Week right next to the runway–or enjoy it throwing snow balls in the park in your faux fur coat and not-really-for-snow boots.
After all, there is always Style.com.
